Studio Adam Rendo is my business and passion. I realised building software is what I love to do, so I'm still showing up here every week to build. Here is the story.
2023 · A messy start
The period before anything was released online
A writing app
The first commit of the app that would become Authorlytica was made on the 4th of April, 2023.
It was a rough prototype of an idea I had carried since NaNoWriMo 2019, the year I wrote my first draft.

A month later I built a website in front of the app, and followed all the best copywriting and sales advice I could find.
It felt fake, and there was no working product behind it.

A year in the archive
For most of 2024 I built nothing of note. Work, study, and life took centre stage, and the projects stayed where I had left them.
This was the last time I'd let my passion get away from me.
2025 · A new beginning
The year Studio Adam Rendo was born.
My own studio
I looked back at the times I had genuinely enjoyed my work, and realised that what I wanted was to build apps that are useful and beautiful, on my own terms.
So I set up a studio, and started digging through the old projects to finish the ones I had left behind.
Celestial Sounds
I brought an old Android app back to life: Celestial Sounds, a set of hand-made soundscapes for falling asleep, themed after drifting through space.
It was small, free, and finished, with no ads and no upsell. It was proof to myself that I could finish something and put it online.
The first public beta
I dusted off the old Authorlytica code, gave it a polish, and released it: the database, authentication, emails, and the basic features of a word tracker.

To my surprise, some people actually started signing up to Authorlytica and using the app.
The profile update
After many rapid iterations, the bigger updates started to centre on a single core feature at a time. This one was a full writer profile dashboard: achievements, personal records, and Authorlytica Rewind, a monthly and yearly recap.
The app stopped being only about the words and started being about the writer.

This update brought a key change to Authorlytica: social features. It let writers add each other as friends and cheer each other on.

The full style overhaul
The biggest update yet: a complete visual overhaul of the core look of Authorlytica, bringing it from a 2023 hobby project into the modern style trends of 2026. A refresh that holds up on big screens, small screens, and mobile.
Authorlytica after the 0.15 style overhaul A Premium Offer
Until this point, Authorlytica had been effectively free, with a premium offer that only added a few themes. This update gave premium users real value for their subscription: a dynamic planner and a completely new insights dashboard.
Studio Website 2.0
I rebuilt the studio website from scratch to match the identity I had been shaping across this whole journey.
It holds the work under one roof: projects, drawings, a monthly logbook, and this roadmap.
Writer Houses
Who doesn't like a good personality test? I certainly know my 16personalities, enneagram, and HP house. Now you can know your Writer House as well.
Your quiz answers are compared against your real data, so the app can tell you where your self-image and your habits disagree.
What's next
Authorlytica keeps improving and growing every month. It has become more than a project to finish. It's my main focus.
